How would you like to become part of Urban Electronics?
As we take on bigger and bigger projects, our company must grow to match. In light of this, we are now recruiting new members. Perhaps you are an artist, or a musician, or a programming engineer, all are welcome to join and fulfill their dream of creating games.
As a start up company, funding is scarce, so you should not expect to get paid for your work right away. There is the occasional chance of freelance work (which can be found on our Facebook and Twitter pages) but we are offering career experience and a firm place to flesh out your own game ideas only to full team members. Our goal is to create a team comprised of individuals who enjoy creating games as much as playing them. Like a newly formed band, we want each member to be involved in their own, unique way. The amount of work needed will be fairly large, as you will be working on full projects. However, we don't like to push people too hard, as that can create sloppy work. After setting a pace for your work, we will generally let you work within that frame and schedule our project timetable around overall team performance.
Most project discussion goes on through the e-mail, on Google Wave, or on the forums. As such, when you join you will be invited to the forum and given an e-mail address to send messages to. If you choose to stay on as a permanent member of the team you will also be invited to Google Wave and added to the project waves to allow you to work more efficiently.
Available Positions:
Artist (Pixel/Traditional)
Composer
Programmer
While the above positions are the most desired, all positions are always welcome. If you are interested in becoming a member of our development team, please contact us through the e-mails listed in the About Us section
or through our online form.
In the future of independant game development, what role will you play?
